Robotrix

Automate innovation and engineer the future of robotics

Robotrix is the flagship event of our Robotics and Automation Society (RAS) Chapter at NITK,This initiative aims to introduce students to the principles of robot control using Coppeliasim, a leading simulation platform. Over the two weeks, participants will engage in expert talks, workshops, and assignments, culminating in a 24-hour hackathon. The event is open to 1st and 2nd year students of B.Tech programs across all colleges in India.

Embedathon

Showcase your skills in embedded systems and IoT to win the future.

Embedathon is a Hackathon challenge hosted by IEEE NITK student branch in association with CAS Society. It presents you with an interesting problem statement to ensure a fun-filled learning experience. This is the seventh edition of the event promising to be bigger and better. In addition to the problem statement, resources, workshops and talks will also be conducted prior to the final event to enhance your experience with us!

Impulse

Dive into signal processing and AI to solve today's toughest challenges

Impulse is a first of its kind, 24-hour signal processing hackathon conducted by IEEE NITK student branch in association with IEEE NITK SPS student chapter. It presents you with interesting problem statements to ensure a fun-filled learning experience. In addition to the hackathon, a workshop will also be conducted prior to the final event to enhance your experience with us!

Showcase your prowess in power electronics and energize the future

Our event is designed to offer participants a profound understanding of power electronics while making the process of designing power electronics circuits an enjoyable and educational experience. We aim to acquaint participants with the intricacies of designing these circuits, making learning both engaging and informative.

FAQs

Who is eligible to register?

This is going to be a pan-India event so all the 1st and 2nd B.E/B.Tech/B.Sc students from any college can register for the event.

Is there a necessity for students to be from EEE or ECE backgrounds?

It is not necessary to have any previous background in EEE or ECE. Students who are curious and want to get hands-on experience with hardware are welcome to apply.

How will hardware subtasks be made accessible for students outside NITK?

Hardware kits would be made available to the students outside NITK via courier delivery. We expect kits to be handled very carefully throughout the competition and sent back after the completion of it.

How many members per team?

Students can apply in a team of 2 or 3. Only one hardware kit will be provided to each team.

How can we prepare for the event?

Brush up on your knowledge of basics of popular microcontrollers, and basic electronics.

What benefits would I get by registering for the event?

Expert talks conducted during the competition are open for all registering participants!

Will students be given participation certificates for the event?

Yes! Participation certificates will be given to participants.
